Information

The Faro Venustiano Carranza in neoclassical style,  is an architectural work planned and carried out in 1902 by two engineers, Salvador Echegaray and Lattine. This lighthouse, together with the construction of dams, seawalls and jetties, constitute the Port Works, which were inaugurated on March 6, 1902 by the President Porfirio Diaz. The lighthouse is flanked by two sides, each two-stories,  and its rectangular floor has a patio surrounded by semicircular arches. Nowadays, the lighthouse serves as the administrative offices for the La Armada de Mexico.
