On the nameplate of the group of sculptures entitled the Sowers of the Seawall Way (Escultura Sembradores de Via de la Escollera), situated on the Paseo de Los Pescadores on the Malecon of Veracruz, you can read the inscription:

Mexican Workers with the momentum in their sledgehammers solidify the rails that will lead to the most modern machinery of early 1900, moved by rail from the far away quarry blocks of Peñuela, Veracruz 1897-1902.

The bronze work was done by the artist Humberto Peraza Avila and dedicated on March 6, 2002.
