El Buzo is a bronze sculpture created by artist Humberto Peraza Avila, inaugurated on March 6, 2002. It is located in the ’Paseo del Malecon’, also called the ’Paseo de los Pescadores’ (Alley of the Fishermen).
It’s a sculpture in tribute to the Mexican and British deep-sea divers, that helped in the placement of dikes and breakwaters, leveling the rock formations for the construction of this artificial harbor.
