Los Conquistadores Fountain
The Fuente de Los Conquistadores is a unique quarry fountain that was dedicated in 1982, in the same place where since 1946 the 400th anniversary of the founding of the city has been commemorated. This fountain in Baroque style was built to honor the discoverers of the Zacatecan mines and the founders of the City of Zacatecas.
Its quadrangular base has a molded arch on each side and the name and coat of arms of the conquerors, and its top is mounted by a stone cross that sits upon a sphere.
