The Mausoleum of Illustrious Men
The Mausoleo de los Hombres Ilustres is located on the hillside of the Cerro de La Bufa, in which lie the remains of various prominent personages of Zacatecas; such as Francisco Aguilar y Urizar (1867-1948) pianist, composer and honored teacher at UAZ (Autonomous University of Zacatecas), Genaro Codina Fernandez (1852-1901) musician, outstanding composer and author of the Marcha Zacatecas, Ursulo Garcia Arizmendi (1882-1937) teacher and social fighter for workers rights and the peasant cause, Fernando Villalpando Avila(1844-1902) native musician and composer.
