This attractive sightseeing ride has been operating since 1979, and is one of the most visited attractions in the city. In its course of 650 meters (711 yards), the Teleferico de Zacatecas crosses the city in just 7 minutes and offers one of the most spectacular panoramic views.
There are two stations that operate the cable car, one at the bottom of the Cerro del Grillo, and the other in the far northwest of the Cerro de la Bufa. The technology and safety standards are of Swiss origin.
