Casa Natal de Morelos (Natal House of Morelos)

Casa Natal de Morelos (Natal House of Morelos)
In the place where it is this noble house with Baroque interior and neoclassical facade was born one of the initiators of the National Independence, Jose Maria Morelos y Pavon on September 30, 1765.
The original building was demolished in the late nineteenth century and the current site was built years later.
In 1964 it was adapted to create a cultural center where are paintings by the artist Alfredo Zalce from Michoacan, a library, bookstore, cinema club and a museum with documents and articles about the life of Morelos, some with their original signature.
The Natal House is National Monument since 1965.
It is located on Corregidora street 113 and Garcia Obeso street
