Mariano Abasolo’s House is located west of the parish, he was born in 1783 to the field marshall, Don Mariano Abasolo, Mexican military and insurgent hero of national independence. On June 6, 1863, on his way to the north of the Republic, he was hosting President Don Benito Juárez García, and on September 15, 1864 Emperor Maximilian of Hapsburg. In early 1907 Mr. Francisco Gonzalez Caballero, Political Chief of Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, he bought the house for the seat of municipal powers.
