Quiet place of the State of Morelos which is considered within the programme Magic towns of Mexico. Its name in Nahuatl means Place of the copper axe. Tepoztlan has been characterized by its traditional and cultural development. It is one of the main tourist destinations of Morelos which is part of the national park The Tepozteco created by presidential decree to assign the area for conservation and protection of flora, fauna and archaeological remains. Its main attractions are: Temple and Former Convent of Natividad Church of Natividad, Carlos Pellicer Museum, Museum and Historical Documentation Center of Tepoztlan,  archaeological zone of Tepozteco and Tianguis(market)or Dia de Plaza. It is recommended to visit other nearby places like Amatlan de Quetzalcoatl and San Juan Tlacotenco.
