The Malecon of Veracruz City (The Boardwalk) is the perfect place for fun, and all kind of events like the ’Festival of the Sea’ that was celebrated in 2007, 488 years after the founding of the Port of Veracruz. Within the numerous performances that took place during the festival, several sand sculptures created by artists from the Netherlands, Spain, Mexico and the United States were featured.
