Information

The word ‘Atarazanas’ comes from Arabic and means artillery warehouse or arsenal. They began to build in the port of Veracruz in the early 18th century in order to "store masts for rigging made from wood carried from Coatzacoalcos that was necessary for the ships of Her Majesty that arrived without masts to Veracruz.” Later it served as an artillery warehouse. Since 1989, this is a space dedicated to promote artistic development and creativity within children, youth and adults through education, relationships, workshops, courses, book presentations, exhibitions and concerts.
