The Museum House of Hidalgo Antigua is a beautiful old mansion from the late eighteenth century, with a charming courtyard which is arranged around the rooms of what was once the home of Miguel Hidalgo during his stay in this town.

The chambers and the period furniture recreate the atmosphere and serve as a backdrop for some of the hero’s personal belongings and documents of the War of Independence (priestly garments, a banner of the Virgin of Guadalupe, the first proclamation of the abolition of slavery and an urn with the remains of Hidalgo).
