The Subtle Rockjaw Sculpture
The Subtle Rockjaw Sculpture
Located on the Malecon in Puerto Vallarta, we find this unique sculpture 2.40 meters high created by Jonas Gutierrez in a mixture of bronze and obsidian.
It is the representation of a character that is standing and is about to eat a stone, so the name with which this sculpture is known could not be wiser: El Sutil Comepiedras or The Subtle Rockjaw.

The sculpture is located a few steps from the wooden pole in which the indigenous Huichol flyers perform their impressive and dangerous traditional dance.
Inaugurated on October 14, 2006, The Subtle Rockjaw shares its space with its neighboring sculptures Nostalgia and The Unicorn of Good Luck.
