The Museo de la Ciudad de Merida has a permanent exhibit, made up of collection pieces from the times of the Mayans (pottery, tools, jewelry, gifts) up to the times after colonization (paintings, altarpieces, clothing, weapons). All of the exhibits are very interesting and curious, such as the exhibit that shows the evidence and reasons of how the streets of Merida become named. Be sure to read the charming passage of  “Imposible y se vencio”.
