Great building where it combine baroque and neoclassical styles. It was built in 1685 on the orders of Bishop Juan Ortega y Montañez. Here was the old Episcopal Palace, but the company pressured the government and was assigned to the order of the Juaninos in 1770 where they installed the Real Hospital de San Juan de Dios that worked until the time of the Reformation.
In 1886 it was remodeled by the Engineer Guillermo Woodon de Sorine and it became a majestic hotel. Today, the building is one of the most exclusive hotels in Morelia, it still retains its architectural beauty and this very special view of the cathedral and its surroundings.
