Only 36 km from the city of Monterrey, on the road that connects with the town of Garcia, is a place where the mystery of nature reveals a striking scene. These are the Caves of Garcia, an imposing mineral artwork that exists thanks to the miracle of thousands of years of creation. To reach the cave is necessary to climb 80 meters high; you can make this journey by cable car or walking by a long narrow sidewalk. Once up there, the main attraction is go inside the cave to see the stalactites (formations that hang from the ceiling) and stalagmites (formations that develop in the soil) scattered throughout the vault. Some of the speleothem (deposit of minerals) have adopted common curious figures in sight of people. For example, "the hand of the dead", "the coffin", "donkey's head," among others, and certainly the most interesting creation is the one that is called "the eighth wonder" of the underground world, a title granted to be the only column in the world made up of a stalactite and a stalagmite that met at the mid-point, giving appearance of being a single piece.
