Information

It was originally named Rubio theater and opened  on February 6, 1881.
On August 30, 1883 the singer Angela Peralta was going to present a grand concert at the scene, but she did not do so because she died of yellow fever. Since that fact the popularity of the place collapsed and began being the base of  entertainment functions such as boxing and even movies.
In 1943 obtained its current name and in 1985  its demolition is planned, so hundreds of villagers marched against it and two years later successfully sought to conduct a concert in what remained of the theater.
On October 23, 1992 the remodeling Theater was inaugurated again, with what has come to Mazatlan and Mexico a  worthy stage of the best shows in the world.
