This museum located in a big house of the early twentieth century of the city centre contains pieces of more than 1000 years old, belonging to the Early Postclassic and Late Postclassic periods.
The museum was inaugurated in 1988 and depends on the state government.
The exhibition is organized into five rooms where they show the customs of the ancient inhabitants of Sinaloa, their clothes, weapons, tools, idols, symbols, and so on.
This collection was found in the south part of the state and give the visitor an opportunity to get closer to history and art of the region.
The museum also has a room for temporary exhibitions.
Open: Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00 hrs and Sundays from 10:00 to 15:00 hrs.
