Mazatlan, The Pearl of the Pacific

This city of the state of Sinaloa is famous for many things: its beaches, its warm climate, its good services, its beautiful historic center and its endless feast.

Its name comes from the Nahuatl word "Mazatl" which means "Place of deers" and has the longest pier in the country: 36 km; besides having the first natural lighthouse  highest in the world, located on the island of Cerro Creston whose height is 157 meters above sea level. Mazatlan is located near the Sierra Madre Occidental and on the coast of the Sea of Cortes (Gulf of California).

Here, you  can arrive by sea, air or land because it has an international airport just 16 kilometres from the port, by car you can use the highway number 15 which runs from Mexico City to Nogales or the Pan American Highway number 40.

Mazatlan has one of the most important coastal shipping ports of the country, besides having a growing brewing industry and some other fields.
And As for tourist trips, Mazatlan can be enjoyed with a guide or on your owncuant and not only the city but also the surrounding area.
