The church of Nuestra Señora de Las Nieves was built at the end of the 17th century. Before being dedicated to Santa Maria de las Nieves, it was adjunct to the Santa Maria la Mayor in Rome by decree of the council on March 2, 1777, according to the grant of Lord Clement XII by his bulla of June 8 1736, so that people who visit the church can win the clemency that is granted in this basilica.

The temple is a one story building, with a foundation in the shape of a Latin cross, one adjoined chapel and two side chapels. A barrel vault with crescent shaped windows covers the main nave and apse, while the crossing section is covered by an octagonal cupola with windows on each of its sides.
The two chapels, one in Solomonic style dedicated to San Antonio de Padua, and the other in Stipe style dedicated to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, house magnificent Baroque altarpieces.
The presbytery has a neoclassical altar with a boudoir at the center. At the foot of the main hall is the choir within a high barrel vault.
The towers are smooth, and the bell towers  have half-pointed openings, flat pilasters, entablatures and a lighted cupulin.
