In the Plaza of the Moon and near the Palace of the Jaguars there is another interesting structure that is part of the archaeological site of the city of Teotihuacan: The Butterfly Palace (Templo de las Mariposas) or Palace Quetzalpapalotl (in Nahuatl).
This building boasts different reliefs and murals and is located southwest of the Pyramid of the Moon. Some researchers speculate that this monument served as home to the priestly class of its ancient inhabitants.
