San Luis Potosi Plaza de Armas

San Luis Potosi Plaza de Armas
San Luis Potosi is a city made for walking, as it has several walking streets that are closed off to traffic, and allow for very pleasant walks around the historic downtown to admire the magnificent baroque 19th century architecture.
In the Plaza de Armas, the civil and religious architecture harmoniously blend colonial architecture and that of the contemporary Porfiriato style: The San Luis Potosi Cathedral, the State Capital Building, the City Hall, and the State Congress.
At the center of the square there is a pink stone kiosk that was built in 1948, which pays tribute to eight Mexican musicians.
