Explora Park Science Center
The Explora Science Center of the city of Leon is one of the first of its kind in Mexico. Opened on November 23, 1994, this space offers workshops, video conferences, exhibitions, and 6 fully interactive rooms that together contain more than 270 exhibits, where visitors can make learning fun.
Each room addresses a general issue concerning fundamental aspects of life and the universe: Movement Room, Communication Room, Water Planet Room, Space Room, Human Body Room, and Intelligence Room.
Near the Explora Science Center is the IMAX 3D room which can be accessed separately. With 436.97 m2, a projection system recognized as the world’s most modern and 296 comfortable seats, it is Latin American´s largest IMAX ® screen. Three-dimensional images that take the breath away and the most advanced digital sound world make the viewer feel part of the movie.
The Explora Science Center Museum also has a cafeteria and a gift shop.
Hours: Tuesday to Friday: 9:00a.m. to 6:00p.m. and Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays: 10:00a.m. to 7:00p.m.
Movies Schedule: Tuesday to Friday: 11:00a.m., 1:00p.m., and 5:00p.m. and Saturdays, Sundays and holidays: 12:00p.m., 2:00p.m., 4:00p.m., and 6:00p.m.
