The Museum of Paleontology of Guadalajara has several fossils found in the area of Jalisco, especially near the Lake of Chapala and belonging to the collection of Francisco Solorzano. There are fossils of mammals dating from the time of Miocene as well as the Pliocene and Pleistocene. It also has a research area that seeks to preserve the paleontology as a science in Jalisco.
Open Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00 hrs and Sunday from 10:00 to 16:00 hours.
Guided tours: Tuesday to Sunday at 11:00, 12:30 and 16:40 hours.
Video Projection: Saturday and Sunday at 12:30, 13:30 and 15:00 hours.
