In Guadalajara, as elsewhere in the state, we can find a great variety of dishes. The most typical are:
The Birria, which is goat or beef meat in tomato sauce, or if you prefer, in chile sauce. The Torta Ahogada, consists of a bolillo with fried pork meat and beans bathed in sauce and accompanied by onion.
Of course, the drink that accompanies any of the culinary delights must be the Tequila. Another option is the Pulque of fermented maguey or if you prefer something lighter, the Tejuino, cool drink produced from maize or the tepache which is the fermented cane or pineapple.
