At its center there is a fountain that symbolizes the water hole that belonged to the ancient market town and was part of the temple court of San Francisco.  When it was built this station still had several burial sites which are exhibited at the Museo INAH regional.

Today, the Plaza de la Constitución or Constitution Square is the most modern area of the historic center of Querétaro, with sculptures and underground parking.
