El Coral Island and its smaller neighbor, El Cangrejo (crab) Island, are located about 3 kilometers from Playa de Guayabitos.

They are both considered both ecological reserves of the State of Nayarit.

The natural habitat has a wide variety of flora and fauna, so anyone who explores the area must do so with respect and with minimum interference on the biological development of the turtles, pelicans, gulls, insects, and birds, among others that live there.

In the vicinity of these islands it is customary to go diving as the surrounding waters are home to some of the greatest treasures of the Bay: the coral reefs of Guayabitos.

Be sure to visit them, they will surprise and amaze you with their lush vegetation and wildlife of manta rays, turtles, starfish, white flowers, and multicolored fish, among others.
