The MASIN is located in an old building of the eighteenth century and has an extensive collection of over 200 works. Stands out a self-portrait by Diego Rivera (1906) but there are also paintings of the late nineteenth century and the twentieth century. Among the works there are pieces of Juan Cordero, Francisco Goitia, Roberto Montenegro, Gerardo Murillo "Dr. Atl", Jose Luis Cuevas, Lilia Carrillo, Francisco Toledo, Rufino Tamayo and Pedro Coronel, to name just a few.
