Located on 8th Street between the defenses of the Soledad and San Carlos, the Puerta de Mar de Campeche was used as one of the four entrances to the city. After being destroyed in the 19th century, it was rebuilt in the middle of the 20th century with materials from buildings and monuments located nearby. It is a great place to start a tour through the city.  In front there are several restaurants located where you can enjoy the cuisine of Campeche.
