La Quebrada is a well known touristic spot where divers jump from a cliff 45 meters high into the Pacific. These brave young men perform the ritual in small bathing suit: climb, pray to the Virgin of Guadalupe at its altar placed at the top of the cliff, then, measure the waves and wind and suddenly...jump! with a pair of acrobatic somersaults. These divers offer the spectacle during the day and night using torches to give a spectacular view to the show.
La Quebrada is located near the city center, a few minutes from the main plaza. There is also a lookout from which you can watch the divers closely.
