Puerto Marques is a small bay to the south of Acapulco just 15 minutes from the city. Its beaches are shallow with calm and safe waves, which make this a great place for families with small children. Snorkeling and scuba-diving are very popular activities, and if you want to spend the entire day, you can do so in any of the restaurants which rent umbrellas, lounge chairs and hammocks. Accommodations are available in many places and there are also services such as pharmacies and stores for your basic needs, and craft shops.
