Opened in 2003, the Puente Chiapas is one of the largest bridges in the state of Chiapas. With a length of 3,963 feet crossing the Nezahualcoyotl dam, also known as the Malpaso Dam, it connects the City of Cosolealecaque to the city of Tuxtla Gutierrez, saving about 62 miles off of the route that formerly took about three hours!
From the bridge you see a magnificent view of the Grijalva River and the lush landscapes that surround it.
