The Bay of Rincon de Guayabitos was discovered by the Spanish who were in search of a port closer to the evangelization of the Californias and the exploration of the Islas Marias.
They found this beautiful beach with its crystal clear calm waters, making this place a point of departure for the coast of Chacala, Nayarit, the Bay of Banderas, and Matanchén.
It was not until 1970 that this corner of beach became known to tourists and began to emerge as a tourist destination.
Today it is a quiet place that offers visitors beautiful scenery, a relaxed family atmosphere and a wide variety of attractions and activities to ensure maximum fun.
Along the Bay of Rincon de Guayabitos are the following destinations and beaches, each beautiful and magical in its way: La Penita de Jaltemba, Los Alaya, Playa Los Ayala and Playa Frideras, the islands of El Coral and El Cangrejo, Playa Tortugas, Playa del Beso, Playa Chacala and Chacalilla.
