The University of Veracruz started publishing in 1948, being one of its oldest and most relevant activities. It has been a preferential space for the dissemination of work by teachers, researchers, artists and students. To date, the institution has a number of collections and texts in the areas of literature, history, anthropology, art, science and technology. Among them, ‘The Word and The Man’ is a prestigious collection of more than one hundred and seventy-eight issues were published in its fifty years of existence. Personalities associated in the most forward thinking humanistic thought movements in Latin America have been involved here.
