The Wall of Citizen Values
The Wall of the Citizen Values, also known as the Plaza of Values, is located on Boulevard M. Avila Camacho in front of the Playa El Penacho del Indio, or Indian Plume Beach.
This monument is formed by four tall white columns, each bearing the name of a value: Love, Honor, Truth and Work, and six smaller structures of square shape, in between the columns, which include following inscriptions: be good to others, do good in the world, be good to yourself, and work for the common good and the names of men and women, who for their whole lives, were grounded in these values ââand are considered model citizens.
On January 27, 2010, along with the Mayor of Boca del Rio, Miguel Angel Yunes Marquez, the Securities Committee Citizens presented the Citizen Merit Award, to Mr. Luis Alvarez Requejo a lifetime achievement award.
The Memorial to the Citizen Values is also a major public venue where artistic, cultural and sporting events are performed. On one side you can see a beautiful bronze sculpture depicting a pair of jarochos dancers, traditional dancers from Veracruz, entitled Jarochos.
