Nighttime transforms San Miguel de Allende.  The lights come on and everything changes.  The San Miguel Archangel Parish lights up slowly and becomes a one of a kind spectacle.  The main square fills with food stands and people talking while the mariachis play.  In spite of being a small place, there are many fantastic places to dine with different themes and all of them inviting.  And you can feel good walking about, knowing that at night the streets stay safe.
