Casa De Familia

The original construction dates back to 1825 and was completely rehabilitated by its current owners between 1974 and 1976. 50 years later, after a second intervention recently concluded, its original adobe walls today house 10 comfortable rooms and a spacious suite with the greatest warmth , silence and comfort that is possible to find in San Cristóbal.

All the rooms and common spaces of the Family House were redesigned and carefully decorated with exquisite sobriety in a Franco-Spanish neoclassical environment, using the original furniture of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, mainly from Spain and France.

In addition, state-of-the-art technology for acoustic and thermal insulation was used: double glazing, shatterproof tempered glass, walls and blinds with fireproof insulation and 5-layer roofing ensure our guests a safe, warm and silent stay.

The main architectural challenge was to provide the property with comfort elements of the highest technology such as internet / ethernet high speed (fiber optic), high pressure showers, instant hot water, TV with ultra high definition, radiant heating, remote control blinds, motorized ventilation and a network against fire among other elements, preserving the architectural characteristics of the property and achieving a discreet coexistence to offer our customers a unique lodging experience in San Cristóbal.

The garden of the Casa de Familia is unmatched. 1,800 square meters of green spaces surround the property, inside which guests will enjoy our comfortable teak wood furniture with illuminated and individually energized umbrellas for a work space or unparalleled enjoyment, surrounded by fruit trees, flowers and plants of ornamental irrigated from a rainwater collector system, in the center of the City.

In addition, the "La Familia" artwork, a beautiful and imposing 9.3-meter-high and 4.4-meter-wide artistic mural made by the prestigious Oaxacan artist Fernando Andriacci, especially for the owners, protects the access to the garden.

Made of a polychrome terracotta technique, 2,664 uniform pieces combine to make the largest mural work ever made by the author.
