As we celebrate the Centennial of Independence, Diaz ordered the architect Carlos Noriega to build on what was once the garden of the temple of San Antonio, a monument to the Corregidor.

In this place, which opened on September 13, 1910, it displays the sculpture of Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez (known as the Corregidora) and a lock symbol on the plate where she passed the libertarian message to Ignacio Perez.
