The Palacio Municipal (City hall) was inspired by the cloisters of the Old World as, indeed, fulfilled this function and was also built on the orders of Bishop de la Garza. Originally named Seminario Conciliar y Tridentino and hosted a school, a hospice, military barracks, the state government and finally municipal government.
