The part of the town that makes it beating is found in its Tianguis  or market which is installed on Wednesday and Sunday (Sunday is the most popular due to a largest number of visitors that came from outside the city). Here you can find everything as essential products such as fruits, vegetables, meat, seeds, until local handicraft products as basketry, yarn, ceramics, clothing and jewelry. Undoubtedly the best part is in the food area where a variety of stands offers their culinary delights. The red Mole of guajolote, the pumpkin seed mole and of the thin tamal are highly appreciated in the holidays. The snacks are extraordinary such as itacates (corn gorditas with lard bathed with sauce, cream and cheese), the famous Cecina of Yecapixtla, (salted meat) served with cream, cheese, beans and avocado and the well-known sopes, quesadillas, tacos and Pambazos and what do you think about eating a nieve? Great idea!  This dessert is one of the best known in Tepoztlan for its variety of  very Mexican flavors.
