CultureColonel Pedro Torres O. University TheaterColima

This theater was dedicated under this name to honor the work of Colonel Pedro Torres Ortiz, who while being governor of the state decided to create the Universidad Popular de Colima, following the proposal of General Lazaro Cardenas to establish an education policy that would allow all social classes access to higher education. This modern theater is located on the edges of the university and serves as a cultural venue for artistic events.  It is a symbol of innovation for the University of Colima, a university without borders.
