The Palacio de Gobierno is a neoclassical style building that houses the Museo del Palacio de Gobierno on the ground floor. The facade features replicas of the Dolores Hidalgo Bell, and the1891 clock that was brought from Germany. In its interior are several murals painted by the artist Jorge Chavez Carrillo in 1953, which tell the history of Mexico and pay homage to Don Miguel Hidalgo.
