The main route of the National Museum of History and Chapultepec Castle Museum takes viewers through the rooms of the Emperor Maximilian, canteens, Charlotte’s room and places from which he governed. You can see the original furniture and costumes, floats and other parts of Mexico before the Revolution. Also, you can see the places where battles were held, as it is from the tower from which the Cadet Juan Escutia safeguarded the national flag during the U.S. invasion.

Not only are the displayed items a matter of appreciation, but so is the architecture and landscape that make up an eclectic building only possible in Mexico City, which is often a source of admiration for both the national and foreign visitors. In addition to this tour, temporary exhibitions are constantly being showed that allow the display of other historical items.

Admission to the museum will cost $ 51.00 pesos and is free on Sundays for all public exhibitions. Hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.  Auditorio subway station, line 7. Services: Library, photo library, video library, guided tours, bookstore, and restrooms.
