In Chapultepec Park, is the roundabout of the Mexican struggle for liberty, which has long been known as the Museo del Caracol (Museum of the Snail). This is due to its unusual architecture in the form of downward spiral that culminates in a cylindrical room with a dome of translucent amber.

While the Caracol Museum can be divided into four levels, the truth is that it is a single descending road, which leads from the top floor to the center.  This form has been called "Caracol time ", a journey in which we can see a timeline of the history of Mexico, culminating in the main room, whose only pieces are the national flag, emblem of the eagle and the constitution of 1917.

It should be noted that, unlike other museums in the area, this one does not exhibit historical items. It’s more of an exhibition of dioramas, models, timelines and other materials that help us organize chronologically the history of Mexico.  In addition there is an audiovisual section that shows multimedia content to enhance the visit.
