The 14 of february of 1988 born in San Cristobal de Las Casas Restaurant Cooker Jovel a place created by Herbert Castellanos, where you can eat the typical regional comidad and where you can watch and be served to people in the region their costumes.

In this place convinan all the wonders of this region as is his marimba music, costumes textiles of the region and its traditional food of excellent quality.

Jovel Cooker restaurant is recommended by many guidebooks as well as nationally and internationally because it is a cultural space where you can enjoy the cuisine of Chiapas but mostly Mayan Indian traditional cuisine.

The restaurant is located one block from the historic city center on the corner of the main square and the cathedral in a seventeenth century mansion.

Indian staff is proud of authentic costumes, so you can appreciate the clothes of the Chiapas Highlands.

The flavor of the restaurant is authentic care for indigenous Tzotzil and Tzeltal women who transform everyday fruits of our land Chiapas and delicious dishes that are served at your table.
