Located in one of the most attractive areas of the city, the auditorium Francisco Eduardo Tresguerras is a monumental work designed and built by Abraham Zabludovsky, a Mexican architect whose professional work in Mexico and abroad is highly regarded for its aesthetic and functional lighting in its bank buildings and cultural centers.

His work is distinguished by addressing the features of the site and by the use of his own different style for reassessing the structure, the search for durable textures and especially by the use of distinctive concrete engraving with exposed marble grain. His style is also distinguished by a spatial concept which goes back to the traditional Mexican architecture of patios, porches, and slopes whose purpose is to integrate the indoors with the urban space that contains them. In 1994 he was awarded the gold medal at the World Architecture Biennial in Sofia, Bulgaria.  The auditorium has a capacity of 2470 people and also has two multi-purpose rooms with a capacity of 40 people.
