This world-class culinary festival gives you a taste of the best of Mexico!

Sponsored by FOOD & WINE Magazine, it makes its Mexican debut from March 26th through the 28th, 2011.

During those three days, local and international chefs and sommeliers will delight you with cooking demonstrations, vine tasting and much more, all focused n the fabulous variety of culinary speculates that Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo has to offer. With this event, Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo comes into its own world-class gourmet offerings.

Come to Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo and discover the rich cuisine of Mexico with world-renowned chefs as your guides.

Over three delicious days, award-winning chef and author Rick Bayless, along with other acclaimed chefs and mixologists, will lead you on a palate-expanding journey that combines the traditional culture and fresh, local bounty of Zihuatanejo with Ixtapa’s sophisticated ambiance.

Cooking demonstrations and tasting share the stage with experiences such as catamaran tour of the bay, strolls along Ixtapa’s vibrant embarcadero, and visits to private homes.

Catamaran Tour: Cast off from Zihuatanejo Bay to the beautiful, secluded white sand beach and coral reef of Playa Manzanillo. Snorkeling, swimming and shell collecting are the orders of the day and a renowned local architect and chef will join you onboard to enhance your experience. Head back to the bay on our 2400 sq. ft. spinnaker and anchor in front of Playa la Ropa while playing with a variety of water toys.

We’ll kick off the festival on Zihuatanejo’s stunning La Ropa Beach. Sink your feet into the sand as you watch the sun set over a cooking demonstration with best-selling cookbook author Chef Rick Bayless. The event, which will take place on the stretch of La Ropa Beach in front of Villa Mexicana Hotel, will offer multiple tasting stations from renowned Mexican chefs and wines from both Mexico and the U.S. The night will also include a cookbook signing with Chef Bayless and several of our guest chefs.
