New flight by Virgin America: San Francisco to Puerto Vallarta

The American airline’s low-cost Virgin America, which for a little less than a year, has operated in Mexico with flights to Cancun and Los Cabos opens this Friday December 2, 2011 a third route into our country with a direct flight from San Francisco to Puerto Vallarta.

Welcome Reception

The Visitor and Convention Bureau of Riviera Nayarit in conjunction with the authorities in Puerto Vallarta will welcome passengers on this maiden flight with a very Mexican reception that will include mariachi music, gifts and courtesies of the International Airport Gustavo Diaz Ordaz.

Hours: Every day except Monday and Thursday.

SFO-PVR 9:30 a.m. to 3:10 p.m.
PVR-SFO 4:10 p.m. to 6:10 pm.

In 2010, Puerto Vallarta was named the best holiday destination in Mexico by the American magazine U.S.: News & World Report.

Aboard the first flight 10 will be journalists from renowned American magazines (Variety – SF Gate – GeekSugar – National Geographic Traveler – 7 × 7 Magazine – – – Travel Weekly – Gusty Traveler – VIA) for a familiarization trip during which they will tour the numerous natural and cultural attractions that make up the destinations Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit.
