Just at the end of the old Avenue of the Dead in Teotihuacan, is one of the most emblematic buildings of the archaeological site: The Pyramid of the Moon.
Located on the northern edge of the Avenue of the Dead, the Pyramid of the Moon has a height of 42 meters and its peak can be accessed thanks to the steps of its facade.
Its dimensions are: east and west facades: 140.20 meters., north and south facades 149.35 meters. Height 45.72 meters.
You can access the summit through the steps of its southern facade.
In front of this magnificent building pre-Hispanic you can see a plaza called “Plaza de la Luna” with a small structure that has a central altar and an original construction that is divide on the inside in the shape of a cross giving it its name, “Cruz Teotihuacan.”
